We are now starting to really get things rolling. We have created our first storyboards and moved to animatics for our final project for the term. We have had some things assessed and marked. My mind is continually blown by all the things I learn, and by the skill level of the people around me. Major talent.
Most of the term we will be setting up assets for our final project, making giant things roll. I have had my model idea of an eyeball approved, as well am going to be doing 3 shots for my over all assignment, rather than one. I'm making sure to challenge myself.
We learned all about IK and FK rigs and how these kinematics work, we are starting to understand the curves in an animation graph by making a coin roll. We have learned how to manually use an SLR camera and successfully take images in a dark room (without flash).
The toughest part of all this is pacing yourself, and open your mind to new ways of seeing and understanding the world. I've had a good few headaches from moments like this, (and have taken up drinking...rootbeer)
