Here is the progress thus far this week. Creating a look for lighting the grid, as well as smoothing out polyflow and making things awesome.
So deadline is now fast approaching, which means it is time for model refinement and detail work. Here is the progress: Gone back to square one in a few areas to get that poly flow correct. It's starting to feel better, but still has some areas that need some tlc and smoothing out. So since my light cycle will be going through lots of iterations, I am going to try and keep video posts to a minimum, I will post on Monday and Friday so you can see the major changes. Changes thus far: Handle bars, foot rests, lights are now inverted. First week of the term and we have begun creating our assets for Tron. I'm working on the lighcycle. Super excited for this, as it is a really big challenge. You would think modelling a motorcycle isn't that difficult. "It's just 2 wheels and the middle part right?" Nope. This one has lights. So I've really had to think about polygon flow and how to make everything smooth and organic, even though it is not an organic object. You need to model from the lights, outwards and create the rest of the bike. Here is a turn table of how it is looking so far. Here is the final product from our last term project!
